We don’t know about you, but Fall is definitely one of our favorite seasons! We love the weather, the beautiful changing leaves, and everything pumpkin spice that goes along with it. As soon as fall sets in, we like to incorporate our favorite season inside of the home. When it comes to decorating for fall, we like to focus on three key areas... Front Porch, Living Room Mantel and Dining Tablescapes. These are the three areas in your home that will make the most impact, and are usually where people spend most of their time.
Your front porch is one of the first things that people see when arriving at your home, as well as the last. We like to keep this area simple by adding natural items such as pumpkins, mums and wreaths. It is up to you how many you would like to add, but even just a small simple touch can make a great statement!
Living Room Mantel
Once inside the home, the living room is where people spend most of their time making it a great area to decorate for fall. We like to focus on the mantel since it is usually the main focal point of the room. If you do not have a mantel, you can decorate a console or coffee table instead. When it comes to decorating your mantel, we like to incorporate pumpkins, fall florals and warm brass or copper accents. It is also a nice touch to add in a few fall inspired accents to the rest of your space such as pillows, and throws.
Fall marks the beginning of family gatherings and holidays, and one of the best ways to get in the spirit is to decorate your dining room table. We like to use classic pieces like white place settings, brass or gold silverware and natural linens as a base. These are great because they can be used year round and for any occasion. With your neutrals as the base, it makes it easy to incorporate fall items such as florals, pumpkins, and a fall inspired napkin as an accent. You can even step it up a notch with a fur chair cover as shown above or other decorative items to the tabletop.
